What is the ACP solution for employers?
The ACP combines all of the employer’s barriers and pains by putting a solution in place. The ACP ensures that every learner has a full background DBS and consensual social media/activist check to ensure they are safely placed in a suitable employer host site.
The ACP will not discriminate any learner in any way. The ACP has a duty of care which is to ensure that all parties are safe. We ensure everyone’s safety by placing all learners in a suitable placement, which is in fitting with their views, The placement must be within an environment that the learner feels comfortable in.
We aim to dispel myths and educate all learners on what is expected from an unbiased view point. Our highly experienced team is trained to discuss ethics and handle different views or opinions, so that learners are comfortable and aware of what to expect in their placement (i.e. emotional ability to cope in a vet practice when an animal is put to sleep etc.).
The ACP recognises that as an industry a ‘one size fits all’ approach, will not work. This is why we have heavily invested in a team of both qualified trainers and content writers who are specialized in each field. This is to ensure that the ACP programme is still tailored around each placement host’s needs (e.g. a pet shop must understand retail / customer service, an animal technician must understand ASPA ethics and biosecurity, a farm with livestock needs ethics and written skills to carry out daily checks and rotation)
